anybody watching The Expanse? The TV series on the books by James S.A. Corey?

I've read the books, they're brilliant - totally forgot about the tv programme :o What channel is it on sars ?

It's on Syfy and it's really good, Episodes 1, 2 & 3 are available on YouTube

The only problem with one United Space Agency is that it would run the serious risk of going nowhere if the goals diverged from individual national thinking...

So it would have to be independent, membership has a fee and includes a vote, there can be more than one member from each country, but as long as one nation has no more than say 30% of the votes it cannot be dominated by one Nation

Just watched the first episode - on to watch the rest later, it's pretty good

so once we have wrecked this planet we can go and wreck another
Why limit yourself to serial planet-wrecking... I'm sure we can manage to wreck several concurrently... :P

perhaps we should spend more on war, lets kill the majority of the population and lets the the planet recover, the polar bears would thank us

give the americans more guns, they'll kill themselves

No need to bother, we're well overdue for a high mortality rate pandemic that'll take out a decent percentage of humanity....

Why expend huge financial resources on space exploration?

and fortunately the future of space exploration is in the hands of entrepreneurs like Elon Musk & Richard Branson

You must have missed the question mark after exploration :D, but to clarify, I'm absolutely positively for it....spend more money on science, technology, research and exploration than on trying to kill each other. And I would like to see one united space agency, funded by every nation with the finacial means to do so, entirely devoted to reaching the other planets.

I did say It was highly likely did'nt I..

Cheers Sars,

For what it's worth I agree with your post.

Guns don't kill people rappers do :cpilot:

Just seen this thread while waiting to eat dinner on my lonesome, being away for a business trip...

I'm definitely in the 'for' camp when it comes to space exploration - none of the worlds major problems are caused by the allocation of resources for space exploration, none of the worlds major problems would be resolved by stopping space exploration.
