South West Meet (Wiltshire/Bristol) Date TBC

I've been thinking about a meet in and around Wiltshire, Have been talking to a few other owners and they seem to be up for it. So i thought i would make this event.

I'm thinking definitely a Sunday but which? 7th, 14th, 21st or the date everyone seems to be doing the 28th of April.

Anyway we were think of meeting in Melksham somewhere and then going for a drive. It has been suggested to have a look around the Wadsworth Brewery in Devises, which is free but i would need to know numbers to book! Then to go for a drive possibly towards Longleat or somewhere that sort of way, maybe cheddar gorge? Stopping somewhere on the way for some Lunch and a few stops on the way for toilet breaks etc.

So it would be good to get an idea of numbersof attendees, names and the dates of which people would prefer?!
 
Sounds good Tom ... I'll keep an eye on the thread. Evenings I work that direction anyway ( apt as the nights should be getting better :grin: ) otherwise most weekends I'm sure would be OK ....

Not wanting to steal the show but how about a hoon through to Devizes and a look around Wadworths brewery, free but have to book, then out towards Longleat in time for tea ? Some great stretches and OK scenery.

Im up for anything to be honest, as i said just and idea so far but that does sound like a good idea, see what people think ...
 
I don't know the roads around there that well. I am very keen but I won't be giving any input on where to go. Because I am sure others will know better :thumbsup:
 
Not confirmed route, but just to see peoples thoughts if they like the route or not...

Had a few friends spot you now Tom.

Would people be interested in doing a z4 meet mid day then go up to the Bristol edition38 meet on the 28th april?
 
Oh sweet! I saw you last week coming up the hill in Seend next to the pub, I was in the van.
Yeah I'm up for anything! Just throwing ideas out there... Could do both to be fair and put more planning in to this meet for a later date?
 
Any date is good; if you like I'll give Wadworths a call tomorrow and see if they've got dates available and see if they fit in with plans etc. ?
 
Right, spoke to Wadworths and tours are available but need numbers and suggested dates, However they now charge and it's £10-00 each which covers the tour and sampling several beers; maybe not the thing to do if driving afterwards ?!?!!

So any other thoughts or ideas ?

Welcome Stevo M,

I doubt if it did happen otherwise there would probably have been post-event pictures and comments added.
(I also thought it was odd to suggest going to a Brewery, then out for a drive afterwards :thumbsdown: )

However, you may be in luck as there is probably one of the most active groups, located on your doorstep. The Bristol boys have been getting out almost every 2-3 Sundays and have probably managed a dozen or so meets this summer. :D

We've nothing more planned yet as October is now upon us and a lot of people SORN their cars Oct-March, but keep your eyes peeled on here for events. - They can be very often at short notice, as we generally watch the 5 day weather forecast then go for it about 7am on a Sunday morning, when the roads are quiet.

PS As a 'newbie' you've got to post some pictures of your Zed up still, especially before you're allowed out to play with us.... ! :thumbsup:
