Well, I have just got back from a day of hooning around the Pennines (Derbyshire and West Yorkshire).
There are some great roads including the Snake Pass. To be honest, my favorate road was the A6024 (which we drove 4 times) and Wessendon Head Road.
Didn't take many pictures as we were busy driving... Roof down all day too!
My mate took along his M5..

Had the roof down all day but it was a little chilly..

I Had a go in the M5 :yeah:
 
beautiful sights!!

i hope to visit one day...............


maybe rent a nice car and just go cruising around europe and england for a bit

His numberplate is "02" so must be early 2002.

The roads really were great up there and not much traffic during the day.
I just looked on Google Earth for the best looking roads.

Great pics! I just love it around there! Absolutely beautiful scenery and the roads are just fantastic! Always love driving in and around that area when I visit my folks back home.

Take Wessendenhead Road South West in to Saddleworth Moor :thumbsup:
Left on to the A635
Right on to Harden Moss Road
Then Acres Lane
Right on to Greengate Road
Then Digley Royd Lane
Follow the road around Digley Reservoir on to Fieldhead Lane
Right turn towards Holme on to the A6024 :thumbsup: you may want to do this road a few times.
Join the A628 (Right Turn)
Then on to the A6105 (South West)
On to the A57 Snake Road (Snake Pass) West to East.
Don't forget that the Cat and Fiddle road is a bit further South also but to be honest if I were going again I would just stick around Holm Moss.
