Hi,

We’re off to Languedoc on Friday, stopping overnight at Chartres and then down the A75 over the Millau Viaduct. Really looking forward to our first European trip in the Zed and catching some socially distanced rays.

We haven’t booked a stopover coming back. Timings mean we have to do it over 2 days, so need somewhere no further than 4-5 hours from Calais. Looking for something unusual, maybe on a vineyard - does anyone have some good suggestions?

Thanks in advance. :)

Reims is always a pleasant stop off, plenty of good restaurants and hotels.

Plus the Circuit Reims-Gueux is always worth a walk around.

From Millau, try the Gorge Du Tarn, great road and stunning scenery. Le Rozier is a nice stop off, but touristy, nice nonetheless. Was there last week.

Thanks, Gorge du Tarn does look stunning and is definitely now added to the route

Thanks - I didn’t know about the circuit. Looks a good option.

This place is a nice lunch stop on the Gorge road, nice little village, great photo opportunities there too. Plenty of parking.

Reims for sure, or another favourite of ours is Epernay - both in the champagne region, and the tastings at the champagne houses are excellent ;-)

Tours is quite nice too - it has a very nice old town in the middle and is lovely to wander around!

Reims it is then - Thank-you all for the advice. Road trip starts this afternoon :driving:
