Sounds suddenly disappeared

Had moments before just tuned to a different radio station and all of a sudden, no sound.

Switched bands, FM to AM, switched to the CD, still nothing. Turned the radio off and on several times, no help.

Got home, shut off the engine, turned the ignition back on and all worked as it should.

Rare electronic glitch or visions of problems to come?

My radio started playing up when the battery was coming to end-of-life. It's been fine since buying a new battery.

Yes I do.

Battery is less than a year old and I drive the car enough to keep it charged up. I would be surprised if it were the battery.

Water ingress into the battery compartment can destroy the Carver amps located there. ask me how i and many others know that... :/
