I am being flippant though - do these things work ? It looks very exposed, like it will get dirty quickly :?
 
They definitely create more noise, but they'll become dirty very quickly, and you'll not get any power increase.

Worth it for £0.99 purely for the noise - surely :P
 
If I want more noise I could a) remove the Second Bit Of Foam, or b) stop telling my son to shut up every time he goes 'rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!' whenever I accelerate really hard :roll:

With the correct hoses surely you could position it where there's a fresh supply of cold air? Similar to Beedub's cone on his ///M? That way, no power loss through heat soak?

Then it's just the dirt you need to worry about :lol:

Worth a go with a quality filter IMO
