Hi guys, I have seen a video of a guy in the US using a similar product for sound proofing. Anybody tried this ?

I used it in one of my car’s tailgate that had a rattle as I had some spare. It killed the vibrations dead

Hi

I used this stuff in doors and it made door sound much better when closing and removed some of the rattles

I look at what you are looking at as cheaper. But after bit more research it is a roofing product that has roofing grade bitumen in it.

You run the risk that if you use car on hot days that the bitumen will start to smell

I think this is what the user found and good luck to getting that tape and bitumen off afterwards

The pack did both doors with still enough over for probably one more door

I'd really recommend putting sound proofing in the doors of a pre-facelift car. No clang when you close the door and less wind/road noise on the move. I had heard about the difference but was still pretty shocked when I got to hear both, back-to-back.

Bit of a faff, mind. PerryGunn did a good how-to on here.
