What are they worth? The whole lot sadly not with the foam any more!! I took it out ages ago lost one bit and gave the other bit away.

I have no idea what its worth? so this is not a for sale thread.... That will come late when i have a fair price for me and who ever buys it.
 
I have no need for the sound generator in my car. It will be sat in a corner with a load of other unused bits. I know guys with 2.2 and 2.5s are often after them. So instead of me binning it someone may want it and i can make a few ££££ to go towards my project.

I paid £120 at dealership for all the parts individually. I'd have paid £40 second hand providing all the parts were there including the bulkhead rubber grommet, the metal fixing bracket and the pipe that goes from the air filter to the air intake manifold which isn't shown in the pic below. Cars that have not been fitted with the SG will not have the necessary air diversion outlet on the existing pipe that joins the air filter to the air intake manifold see pic with red arrow, this part is missing from the OEM catalogue page but had to be purchased in order to fit the SG.

Went out in No.5s 3 litre over the weekend and that has the sound generator in it ... great engine sound on positive acceleration, very addictive and I definitely want one for my 2.5 now!

If anyone has a complete sound generator with all the required bits then please PM me :thumbsup:

Yeah me the whole lot is yours if you want it. Apart from the small foam sections. I knew i shouldn't have given the one away!!

Did Allan have all the foam in his? I will ask him.

I would say that is very very fair. If sky-drive doesnt want it. Ill take it for £40 :thumbsup:

Mine only has 1/3 of the foam in it. Personally I would like 2/3's so need to find another one or a bit of foam to stuff in.
 
In addition to the exploded parts diagram above you will also need to change the Air intake boot as the 3.0 has an additional hole leading off the the Sound Generator, whereas the 2.5 doesn't, so factor in another £30

Look carefully at the two below and you will see that the 3.0 (below) has a hole about 50mm wide and the 2.5 (top) has none at all.
 
Your in luck sky dive you can have that bit to I don't need that either. Looks like you have had a win win buddy :thumbsup:

Don't worry about the foam bits an old long sock will do, or for less attenuation an ankle sock. :rofl:
