No doubts the aural improvement will be worth it but I'm not the best mechanic so is there anything I could likely damage during the installation? Or any damage that could be caused to the engine if I don't fit it just right?

I brought the Z a week ago and fitted the sound generator, as stated above if you own a flat head screw driver then your good :) few jubilee clips, replacing a grommet in the fire wall that's your job done, 15 minute job for me

Easy mod. Sounds great at full throttle. :D

DO IT! worst that happens is you put it back to how it was..

Simples. :driving:

Hi guys,

I'm also interested in fitting one of these to my 2003 2.5 Z4. Can anyone tell me exactly which parts I need to get, and also what sort of price are they?

Thanks

Cost varies, brand new from a dealer you are looking at £180 ish, from a breaker you are looking at £20 - £40.

Thanks Dan, I'll look into that!

Are there any particular breakers you guys use who are likely to have them in? I do like the sound of £20 - £40 over £180, lol

Try quarry motors in Sheffield.

You are best off phoning round a few to see if anyone has a 3.0 Z4 in.
