Well i took the plunge, followed the D.I.Y tutorial to remove and locate the foam . ( without the aid of pictures, for some reason they didnt appear ? ), played around with taking 1 or the other foam bits out. but in the end ....took both out.....now i have a lovely roar everytime i change gear....

I've just done the same. It does sound much better. I've just removed the larger piece of foam so far. I also couldn't get the photos to show, but just google searched and found loads.....

i did what you did, but it only sounded slightly better to me , however both out , a nice rasp !!!! for me the sound is just right but its a case of personal taste
