Sound Generator Mod (with video!)

Finally got around to removing one of the foam pieces and what better way to test it out than on the track, chasing down 2 Corvette C06's! I noticed however on colder days, until the car warms up though the sound coming in is a little "mechanical" and "unrefined." But once she warms up you really do hear the growl. My instructor who came from e46/90 m3 and now has 1m couldnt get over how great it sounded and kept asking if I had an aftermarket cai.

Its a great Mod!!, did you move both bits or just one??? I played it safe with just the one... otherwise when the misses goes to School in it everyone would be looking like this :o

It doesn't make ANY difference to how the car sounds to bystanders - it only affects what you hear in the cabin.

Since I've owned my Z4 I've gradually removed more and more of the foam, must be getting accustomed to the noise :)
