Sound Generator Mod (with video!)

Finally got around to removing one of the foam pieces and what better way to test it out than on the track, chasing down 2 Corvette C06's! I noticed however on colder days, until the car warms up though the sound coming in is a little "mechanical" and "unrefined." But once she warms up you really do hear the growl. My instructor who came from e46/90 m3 and now has 1m couldnt get over how great it sounded and kept asking if I had an aftermarket cai.

Its a great Mod!!, did you move both bits or just one??? I played it safe with just the one... otherwise when the misses goes to School in it everyone would be looking like this

It doesn't make ANY difference to how the car sounds to bystanders - it only affects what you hear in the cabin.

Since I've owned my Z4 I've gradually removed more and more of the foam, must be getting accustomed to the noise
