Sound generator mod - where is it?

Looked through the instructions a few times in the other thread, and asked my friend to help me identify it. I want to do the sound gen mod but I can't seem to find the bit to remove!

Here's photo's of my engine bay and where I expect to find it, can anyone point out what I need to do? Or if it's not possible? I don't appear to have the pipe that is needed

Only the 3.0 has the sound generator. Presume that's a 2.2 or a 2.5?

You can buy the pipework etc from BMW relatively cheaply and put a sound generator in, and then modify it by removing the bung if you don't find it loud enough as standard.
