Sound generator mod on a 2.5? What do I need to buy and how to do it?

As above really. Has anyone added the sound generator mod kit to a 2.5? I think it was only the 3.0L that had them but I'm really keen to do the mod on my 2.5 facelift. I'm sure I read somewhere, perhaps on here, that it can be done but you need to buy the right bits and bobs first.

Does anyone have any info on it all, how do you do it on the 2.5 and what do I need to buy?

I think enuffzed fitted a sound generator to his other half’s 2.5, that’s an m54 though & not the facelift n52 version.
The process would be pretty similar i should think. You could look at the 3.0si & your model on realoem and the difference will be pictured along with the necessary part numbers
