Sound Generator for 2.2i

Hello Z4-lovers,

Is it possible/hard to install a soundgenerator on a 2.2i from 2004?
You have to know that i never worked on a engine/car before

Yes - have done it, about an hours work. Search on this Forum and you can find how to do it.

The sound generator is only for 6 cylinder engine's

A soundgenerator is a piece of plastic that fits on the air intake pipes
It gives a more aggressive and a typical roaster sound

I've been searching the forum for a how-to on fitting the sound generator in a 2.2i but can't find anything. Is there a specific method on how to do it depending on the engine? Also, does anyone know how much this would cost roughly?

Where can I buy the parts for the 2.2i version? I've been trying to find it...

best place for parts is going to be a main dealer, unless you can find one at a breakers.
