SORTED: WTB: 224's (With or Without Tyres)

As above anything considered! After debating what wheels to buy I've actually decided OEM is the way for me so I'm after 224's. I really don't want them with tyres as I want non runflats and standard 255/35 & 225/40 sizes for my 3.0i SE.

A fine choice of alloy , without doubt my favourite OEM BMW wheel :thumbsup:

not got a set kicking about then lol :)
 
I didn't think 224 alloys came with run flats anyway, and some have mentioned they're not designed to take run flats (not sure why). Do really it's down the the tyre profile

A wheel designed for runflats has a ledge on the inside where the tyre rim can sit when "running flat" , standard alloys don,t have this .
Both types of tyre can be fitted to each wheel but chances are the runflat tyre won,t function correctly on a standard rim :thumbsup:
 
I'm toying with the idea of swapping my 224's for some 19" CSL reps. They're very tidy with no kerning but the odd small slight bubble of corrosion starting. Got very good tyres all round of mid range brand (Kuhmo I think?). How much were you looking to pay?

Sounds promising Terry,Paisley Freight ship for £28.50 just for the wheels and I think £33.50 with tyres.
 
I sent too sets of wheels two weeks ago yesterday with Paisley freight

The first set got to the buyer the next day, the other set the person wasnt in, so they tried delivery twice more neither were successful, so the wheels were sent back to me last week ... I still havent got them back

I'm looking for some CSLs (genuine) at the moment. As soon as I get them, I'll be selling my 224's (no kurbing and Continental tyres with good tread).

If you come across any CSLs, let me know :thumbsup:

Bmautosport are selling reps if that helps they are called CSL atomics!

Please let me know when and if you are selling... :)
