Sort of a Newbie!

Hello all,

I've been a member since last December and have been looking since then for a Z4.
Started of as an E89 and then changed to an E86 when I saw some of the photo's on here.
The E86 was then confirmed as my "within budget" dream car when I finally managed to view one in the flesh.
However this had 122k on the clock which was too much for me.
I viewed a few more but none of these quite hit the button.
I then found a 39k one for £8k in very good condition :)
Unfortunately I was a day too late as someone was already coming to view and they ended up buying it :(
This was followed by finding a 40k one the following week with many toys and in outstanding condition for £9250, started at £9950 :)
During the negotiation of this one I found out it was actually the same 39k one I had missed out on the previous week as a dealer had bought it.
I arranged to go to view (280 miles) on the Sunday but got a call on the Friday as his wife was going into labor and he said I would have to wait a couple of weeks to view.
I agreed to this but when I contacted him after about a week to see if we were still on he said it had been sold :(
However as luck would have it a one popped up on Gumtree with 70K on the clock for £7500 and it was only about 5 miles from me.
I went to view and knew it was exactly what I wanted :)
It was a different colour and different interior from what I thought I wanted but it just worked for me!
So a week or so later I am now a proud owner of a Silver Z4C :) and I absolutely love it!
It's got full service history and has just had the inspection II completed.
Also came with a reconditioned set of 108's which I will probably sell as I think the current wheels are perfect.
It has had a few mods including, a quad exhaust, a short gear stick, drilled discs and 19" CSL reps!
It is now parked up in my garage, which took many, many hours to empty all the crap that I had accumulated.
So now for a couple of years of pleasurable driving before considering the jump to an M. :driving:
Couple of photo's - comments of any sort welcome

Glad to hear you got one in the end, so welcome to Coupe ownership.

It looks like you've got parking sensors, BiXenons, heated seats and the MFSW too - it's always nice to have a few of the options.

As far as wheels go I'd definitely rather have CSL Reps than 108s. 108s tend to need refurbing regularly, and because they are split-rims it isn't cheap. Which is why I sold mine while they were still looking good!
