Sorry - another what's it worth thread !

Been hankering after getting back to a Lotus - imo a brilliant weekend car - uncompromising and different - if I could get in to one that is :( On a previous thread someone nearly as tall as me said they had an Elise - my old Lotus was an M100 that was as wide as a zed and had enough room for my 6'7" - would consider another one but to find a good one is nigh impossible because of their age ( built between 1990 - 1994 ).

Anyway what would be a fair price to ask for mine - plenty of pics in my old threads - 2004 3.0 SE manual roadie 29600 miles - FBMWSH ( except for last oil/brake fluid service carried out by Specialist Indy ) All original Sterling Grey exterior unmarked - no dings /scrapes or anything - interior as new - good spec ie Nav/ M seats / bluetooth / 108's / Zenons - I bought it from original owner 3 years ago - all paperwork kept including handbooks /receipts /MOT's/ 3 keys etc - always garaged.

Absolutely nothing to compare with on AT with comparable mileage ( or condition I would guess ) - was thinking around £7k ?? ( of course if Sytners were selling it it would be £10k  )

Your closing in on Si money for £7k, admittedly, a high miler.

3mths time and that £7k could be an ambitious price but not unheard of.

The low miles would be an instant attraction but I would think £6-6.5k would be more realistic in terms of a sales thread now.
I only say that based on what I paid for a 2005 3.0SE with 37k before Xmas.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck with it.

You're probably right but the difference may be that with mine there is nothing that is going to cost - no service due for 12 months , all tyres as new , wheels are perfect and need no refurbishing . It also has M seats ( unusual for an SE ) bluetooth preparation and Professional Nav and an OEM Wind Deflector - all these things add hundreds of pounds to the original cost if need doing.

Having said all this a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay - I need to get a closer look at an Elise and try it out - even at £7k this is not a great deal of money so I may well end up keeping it and still get the Lotus - was thinking of getting the garage extended to a double so this gives me an excuse ( although my wife will need some persuading ! )
