SORN-ed the Golf today...

But don't understand why the SORN date is now October 1, which is exactly a month ago.

Oh well, if that means I get the refund from that date as well, all is good :D
 
Doesn't make sense.

Suppose you got a APNR speed ticket yesterday you could also now be done for driving a car that was on SORN, wel at least in theory.
 
Doesn't make sense to me either, for the same possible consequences that have already been mentioned.
 
On the flip side I just unsorned the Mini it's legally on the road again from tomorrow.

Weird you can't unsorn until two days before the end of the month or it has to be from the beginning of the previous month.

Hey ho another bug they will sort as it gets more mature.

Taxing a car has always been like that.
 
A week to return but only refund starting from November so there system is right after all.
 
How did you get your refund? The one from the Polo I only just got after about 3 weeks. Nothing seen from the Golf yet.
 
Same as you I guess, went online and used the SORN option. From memory it said a refund would be issued where necessary.
