Sopers of Lincoln - 5 star service!!

Just to give a shout out to these lads at Sopers BMW Lincoln.

I've just ordered a new front badge for my E85 Z4 as mine was a tad tired and nowhere sells this 70mm badge so I had to plump for an OEM one after I'd ragged it off the car yesterday (no damage to the car BTW despite me using the word 'ragged')

Badge is £34ish, I know, 'how much' for a badge!!

They've done it for £29.86 incl FOC grommets to attach it back to the panel and posted FOC to.
The total price included a forum discount of 11% which is a nice touch.

Their tel number for future reference/prices etc is 01522 681 680.
 
So they've given you a little discount and posted you something. 5 star service, really?? Pretty much every BMW dealer will do the same thing. You can get up to 20% off parts if you ask very nicely.
I was kind of expecting that they might have done some amazing mechanical work or something...? Unlikely I know.

Ok ok, for you, maybe not, but for me, no other BMW dealer or reseller of this badge could get below £30 including the grommets.

For me, they were polite, answered the phone straight away, offered the discount when I mentioned this forum and were just simply helpful.
Not something I can say about a lot larger organisations I've dealt with just a lately.

Do me a favour though, give them a call and get me 20% off and post it to me FOC and I'll get a refund on my badge when it turns up next week. BTW, don't forget the grommets.
 
Jesus you can't do right for doing wrong on this forum some times! Praise someone & you get shot down!

I'm not trying to shoot the guy down, just saying that you should get that kind of service from most bmw dealers. I use Cotswold a lot for instance, and am always supplied with a pretty instant reply to emails, a discount and have never been charged for postage either.
I was expecting some kind of amazing story about them rescuing a small child from a lion or something like that, not that they'd supplied a part they sell at a small discount. Anyway, I'll get me coat :exitright:
