I placed a deposit on one the other day and am now hoping to pick it up on Sunday. I hope the weather holds as my test drive was with the roof up. I had my last car since 2003 so it has taken a while for me to come around to a change. I have been reading here for a few days but thought I had better join and say hello now the decision is made. :D
 
Cheers all. The dealer says I can't collect on Sun as they have some event on. I'm not really ready to collect much sooner but he offered Thurs. I will have to have a root down the back of the sofa. :(

Also lol @ lacroupades signature and gannets avatar. Looks like we've got the idea and the cat, now we just need some toast. :D

Hi all,

I’ve had the car since Monday last week. I'll stick some pics up soon but I need to get it cleaned first :oops:. I took it up to the lakes overnight last Sat and had the top down all the way back on Sun. Today was also a bit special. I’m absolutely loving it, but now have a few questions if anyone can help.

Is it possible to have the dc output on but without the engine running? I was parked up for a bit and wanted to charge my phone, but it wouldn’t work unless the engine was running. This is obviously a little wasteful.

When I open the roof from within the car, if I hold the button down, the windows come back up. This doesn’t seem to happen if I use the key remote. I have to put the windows up from inside the car. Can I alter a setting somewhere to make the windows come up using the key remote?

I can’t seem to get any music playlists working if I use a usb or even if I copy to the HD. I have a playlist saved to the root of a usb stick. It works fine on my PC, but if I click it in the car, it says it has no entries. Does anyone know how to set up a playlist?

My windows go down at unlock, when roof stows they come back up....key is to take finger off key when the roof stows and windows are down....
 
I did say I would post some pics and it may have taken a while but here goes. I managed to sort my playlist issue out too.

Im picking up my 3l tit silver in the morning, after 3 X 2.5 grey old model z4 im slipping into something new and getting a 3.0 which i have always wanted. its a 10 plate would love a 60 but the prices have jsut cracked to be good to px.

after seeing yours am so looking forward now
 
Must say, that BMW Tit Silver looks as great as it sounded back in early September :D
