Hi All,

I'm set on getting a Z4M Coupe.
Going to view one next week. It's in my ideal spec Interlagos Blue, Carbon-red(or black) interior. No nav.

The owner hasn't serviced it once in the last 5 years :D But it has only done 12k since the Inspection 2 @49k in 2015.
An Inspection 1 is booked on the day of viewing also. Hoping the specialist will only have good things to say!

I wouldnt personally rule the car out on its lazy history but the ins1 on the day can't be quite right :?
I'm not one for pedantry but ins1 requires valve clearance checks & for that it should be there the day before as engine needs to be fully cooled .

An M Coupe is an excellent choice, but I'm probably biased. :lol:

I'd be a bit worried about no service in 5 years, even if it has only done 12K miles! :o And as mr wilks says the engine has to be totally cold for an Inspection service or the valve clearances can't be measured accurately.

There are quite a few for sale at the moment, although if you are set on Interlagos not so many.

Thanks for the info on the Inspection services and warm welcome!!

It was me who suggested to come along for service so I could speak to the specialist(TWG in Camberley). The plan was the car will be worked on first thing in the morning. Now I will look to make sure the Inspection service is carried out correctly and view the next day.

I am worried about the lack of services! But so far it is the only one that ticks most boxes in budget, The poor service history being the only issue.

I will make a wanted post soon :D
 
Well if Will at TWG is doing it I think you can be confident it will be done properly. :thumbsup:

I've been taking BMWs there for over 5 years and I know a couple of other forum members who take their Ms to TWG.

And if it's the car I think it is it looks like only 2 were registered in the UK with that colour combination!
 
Thats good to hear! I have seen their name come up on the forum with only good things said as well.

The car is in Camberley. If its the car you think it is, can you tell me a little more :lol:

Sorry I don't really know anything about it, other than that I have seen it a few times on AutoTrader and it stood out because of that colour combination - and it's a few miles down the road from me!
 
It's not Flimpers M is it?

Will at twg will look after you - I've had my si coupe, and M, and my wife's M135i all serviced by will, great service and knows his stuff!
 
No, it isn't flimper's one - his has black seats.

This one is Interlagos with Imola seats!
