Hi all,

I've literally just joined the forum this evening!

I am looking to purchase a Z4 coupe in the coming weeks, just wanted to find out all about them and hopefully contribute to the forum once I own one.

If anyone can point me to buyers guide or anything else useful, it would be great!

Chan

Hi Chan, I got my Coupe today! Joined the forum a few days ago and have had a great welcome.

Just saw your thread, I saw your car on Auto Trader the other day.

Hello Chan - welcome to the forum... and don't forget to post some pics of your car once you've bought it!

Welcome to the forum. AlanJ's checklist in invaluable. Look forward to seeing what you end up with and yet another coupe joins the ranks

Thanks all!

I'll be sure to print off the buyer's guide before going to view a car.

In my opinion:

Z4 coupe > Z4 roadster for about 95% of the year (most conditions)

but

Z4 roadster > Z4 coupe for about 5% of the year (when it's sunny, hence the 5%)

It's a tough call...

Chandan, in Belgium the weather isn't that great either. However, with heated seats and a wind deflector, the actual percentage is more 50/50. As from 10 degrees (celcius) you can already drive with the top down 8) Heated seats and a deflector are an obsolute must of course

Roadster owners have more fun. Coupe owners like to strut and preen! No coincidence that there are a lot of Coupe's up for sale recently.

I kind of gathered!

Although, I test drove a roadster last weekend and test drove a coupe yesterday afternoon.

I think I personally prefer the coupe, but I guess it's horses for courses.

Is it me or does the engine and exhaust sound better in the coupe?

It's strange, it just seems like it hums more or is that to do with the cabin?
