Sony Camera Duo card malfunction

OK so not a lot to do with Zed's other than I've just returned from 2 weeks in Spain and have a camera full of car exotica to download.

Chip is a 4gb Sony Duo. It was working fine now suddenly no matter which adaptor I use, pc, card reader or even the camera it's showing as unreadable.n Various error messages depending on which machine but anything from drive not available to error reading.

Is there anywhere to take such a card to get the photos off it or anything I can try?

Shame though that it never found anything at all. Not sure if its the chip totally corrupted or fried.
 
Damn thats annoying :'(

Had my camera robbed a few weeks ago after some good holidays, horrible feeling when you lose your pics.

Noticed you were away as you were quiet, lol.. especially with the Gaydon meet. Hope you had a good hol ?

That's why I use more than one memory card, as corruption or loss of camera at least means you dont lose all your pics. If possible I also take a small laptop away and download everyday to it.

The camera/card can easily be replaced but pictures often cannot. :(
 
SR - Fortunately I had 2 cameras and a daughter there with a third, so there should be some. I even had my laptop, but it's a different one to my normal Sony so only SD slot not memory stick. Such is the luck of life.

Andy - yep great couple of weeks in the hills of Andalucia with a few sorties down to the exotic life of Puerto Banus, etc.
