I bought something heavy from ebay in Lincolnshire and as I was going to Suffolk from up here in Durham thought I would save the £20 postage and go the scenic route.

Nobody told me that the Newark/Thetford 'A' road had craters from the moon! Result £20 saved on postage £50 repair to the wheel required. :x

I know we are complaining about the potholes up here but I've done a lot of driving up and down the country the last couple of months and its worse the further South you go.

On top of this more speed cameras, variable speed cameras, average speed cameras and speed bumps. Not much fun to be had down south

Fotunately there is a fella up here who does a cracking good job at the door.
I wish that I had just paid the postage now!
Sods law but its only a wheel. What really brassed me off was the fact it was an A road. I was behind a heavy due to traffic and the pothole just appeared and bang!
She's heard me swear before !

On the plus side, I did notice that around Splading, the petrol was 5p a litre cheaper!

There lies the problem. The A17, A46 and A52 have far too many trucks heading for the ports tearing the arse out of the tarmac... There are some nice roads around here, but the main roads are in an awful mess.

Tapatalking...

Don't feel too bad.
My wheel refurbishing buddy is working on a 6.3l AMG that's 3 weeks old. Already buckled and kerbed all four of his alloys on potholes and one stupid parking incident.
It's a near £4k set of optional rims and tyres :o
