Sometimes window stops closing and goes back down

All in the title - sometimes the drivers window stops closing and goes back down. Anyone got any ideas? Has happened on both the normal window up button and whilst closing the roof.

you need to start getting some money back on your warranty

mine too, started after some work on the window motor, I think I can feel something catching andthis may be fooling the anti trap device. I tried the reset but it made no difference. Just waiting for time to get the door card off to have a look

Cheers, when I can drive again, will try that reset out. And if not, warranty time!

I had the window controllers changed in both my M3 and in my GF's 325Ci for the same reason, sometimes it can be remedied with a reset but It was in for service and they did it under warranty so I didn't complain. My E89 hasn't got that issue yet ....fairly common in BMW's.
