Something a bit different (GT5)

Hope its ok in here..

Been playing Gran Turismo 5 since it came out, and the first thing I did when I had enough money was buy the closest thing to my current car - the BMW Z4M coupe. Unfortunately it doesn't let me put exactly the right rims on (but it'll let me put a ton of Japanese rims on), so I went for the next closest - BBS rims.

Also it doesn't come in montego blue. So, I bought a brand new 135i coupe in montego blue for 65k credits just to get the paint item, respraying the Z4 the correct colour.

Then I went into the game's fantastic 'photo travel' mode where you can put the car in different scenes and take photos of it. I wanted to try and replicate some of the photos I've taken of my Z4 in real life. Anyway, thought you might like a look so here they are - real photo of my Z4 first, followed by my attempt at repeating it in GT5.

ahh i didnt know you could do that....... too busy racing and then getting photo's :driving:

I'll get some pics of my Z4MC up when i go home this weekend..... looks standard on the outside but its whats inside that counts :P

You seem to have too many exhausts on the GT5 picture :poke:

Is there anywhere to upload your own backgrounds to use within GT5 - it'd be great to have the same background on both.

Such a shame all the premium aftermarket wheels are crap :D

Good models of the car though, and nice virtual photos :D

I also bought GT5 over xmas - my ID on the playstation network is SiftahUK, so add me if you fancy a race :)

Q: How did you take the pics from GT5 and onto your pc? Created my roadster and want to add to the thread.

Once you've saved the pics you can select them in GT5 and choose something along the lines of "Make Available in XMB", that will make them appear in the picture gallery portion of the Playstations home screen.

From there you can use one of the menu's to export to a USB thumb drive plugged into the USB port - then copy to the PC. Bit long winded but that seems to be the only way to do it.
