Some pikey has helped him self my my front bumper badge. The stealers want over £20 for a new one.
Does any one know where i can get one at bit cheaper in the uk. I have cheked ebay and all the adds say they are selling bonnet badges nothing about bumber badges.
Has any got one from anywhere.
Maybe a carbon or standard will do.
Cheers

That is the bonnet badge even though its not on the bonnet  the Z4 bonnet/bumper badge is smaller than other BMW badges

It seems a strange choice of badge to steal. You have to remove one of the front grilles and unscrew the two nuts on the back of the badge so it's not your typical 10 second prybar job.

I havn't found anyone else who sells them. You'll see lots of adverts on fleabay but if you check it's usually E46 front badges they're selling which are a different size and fitting to the Z4.

yep, surprised he didn't take both grills while he was at it!!?? Also needed a deep socket to reach the nut! what, was this guy pulling his toolbox with him on the street? Would of taken him less time to steal both the bonnet and side badges!

I dont know what happened to the badge it may have fell of of a pikey has it either way i need a new one.
What about these carbon ones i have seen on members cars any one know where i can get one?

Those on Ebay will fit, but you have to shave the rear of the badge slightly to get a good fit. It's invisible but if you're going for CF it's the only option as they don't make a Z4 one.

Somewhere there is a full write up on this when I changed mine and other posts showing where to trim the badge.

Just be careful what your buying. The vast majority of adverts for Z4 bonnet badges state that they fit a variety of BM's including the E46 and Z4. This can't be true as the E46 bonnet badge is larger than the Z4 bonnet badge and has a different fitting, in fact the E46 bonnet badge is identical to the Z4 boot badge.

Are you sure that it was stolen? I'm not familiar with the mounting mechanism, but if it seems to hard to steal quickly it probably wasn't.

A similar thing happened on my friend's Boxster; he thought his badge had been stolen in a car park, but the CCTV showed it on the bonnet as he left and it was gone when he arrived at his destination, so must have fallen off mid-trip. Which makes sense, as the mounting pins on a Porsche badge are seriously difficult to shift. It took an hour to get one of them off to fit the new badge, I think he had to drill it out!

If you think BMW are bad on price, I understand the OPC charged him over £40 for a new badge.

Tough call stole or fell off.

The front badge is held on by pressed nuts that self cut a thread and lock onto plastic pins pushed thropugh the bumper cover. To come off they woudl have had to wind off fully and they are self locking during which time the badge woudl have been lose and wobbly for days to months and they only 1 woudl drop off not both.

To steal as said before it need s the grill pulling out and a deep 10mm socket used to un screw the nuts. Tehn the grille replacing by the thief. How many carry a 10mm deep socket and replace grilles.

My guess would be it was a replacement badge not properly fitted or for some reasond the plastic pins sheared off

Or someone used a screwdriver to lift it up from the top. Any paint damage at all?

Well there are millions on Ebay. Just search for CF, badge, BMW, etc. You'll need to email them for sizes. as stated before they have no real idea what fits what, but just advertise every model to catch most ebayer searches

Can someone measure the front bmw badge in mm for me Please

A 74mm aftermarket badge with the rear corners shaved off fits perfectly. I do not have an OEM to hand to measure
