I had a trip to NC500 with my Z4 so alone the route, I've taken some photos of the car and want to share with you guys/girls. Just to state that this is my 1st NC500 and I'm not a pro photographer. So, don't be too harsh when commenting anything :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed:

Not really. Time was quite tight for me actually to climb any of those big mountains. But, walked to some waterfalls though.

Great pictures !

It's something I've been thinking of doing but I've not looked in to the logistics yet. Hopefuly you can answer a few quick questions. Did you drive it solo or in a group ? How long did it take ? Was the camper van crawl as bad as some have suggested ?
 
Glad you enjoyed it…it is one of the great road trips off all time…should be on everyone’s bucket list..

We’re fortunate in being closer that we do it most years in some form or snother.

I did it solo. I did it in 4 days including the drive from and back to Sheffield. I would say it's not ideal but that's what I had. I would like to have one or two days more if I'm honest. Also, if you plan to do any of other activities alone the way (e.g climb, walking etc.), count them as additional time. There were many camper van. However, I found them are very nice in general. They would stop and let me pass. Also, I found myself not rushing through all road at "speed limit". During certain section of road, I was no faster than those camper van as I kept stopping for photo or drone footage.

I found it okay-ish. many single lane with passing point. A lot of small stones on the road so you can hear them hitting the wheelarch so don't follow too closely to the car in front or you will pick up a lot of stone chip. I remember someone here said that he need to respary his car after the NC500, which I have not doubt of that. Not too many potholes. I actually find the surface better than in England. :tumbleweed:

Totally agree. I will certainly do it again as this trip was a bit rushed. I wish I can have more time for this trip. I'm about to move to Cambridge so I will be even more further away :headbang: :headbang:
 
Forgot this one. alone the way, did some boring thing when condition allowed.

0-100km/h (62mph) in 4 seconds
1/4 mile in 11.3 seconds

What's the front end like?

My dad did it with a group and most of cars needed a front end respray.

Front end is okay. I did the route on my own not group run so I didn't have to follow front car closely.

The NC 500 is on the bucket list.... Although i might just split it up into smaller chunks rather than do the whole 500 at once... :thumbsup: :driving:

Had a good look at the very same car in the showroom where I took mine for it's MOT last week.

Super pics which do the scenery and car justice. Did this on a forum run in 2021 - loved every minute of it, even trying to keep up with B21 and Argyll Andy :wink:
