Some People's Cars!

I noticed a small Peugeot park up behind my Z on the road outside my house earlier this afternoon and thought nothing of it. About half an hour later I went out to get something from my car, noticed the Peugeot had gone and my eye was immediately drawn to a large shiny dark patch on the road surface where it had been parked. I went over to check and determined it was gearbox oil, probably getting on for quarter of a litre of it as the patch was a good 18x10 inches and deep enough to dip your finger in (it's a course surface).

How can someone lose that much oil in half an hour an not realise something is up with their car? The gearbox on those probably doesn't hold much more than two or three litres in the first place. There is now a large patch of cat litter in the road :)
