some people have too much money!

Obviously ...

I was in a local liquor store a couple of weeks ago and saw a bottle of 50 yr old Scotch. the price was $22,485.00
There were a couple at $18,000 and some a bit less than that. These were normal size bottles. For over twenty grand I'd expect at least a barrel.. :o

Ridiculous !!!

how much for a golf club :tumbleweed:

It would depend on how many holes and the condition of the clubhouse etc..... :P

If i was a Pro and was ensured of making every putt then 6 grand for a putter would be worth it....but I'm not so it's a bloody stupid price :!:

Is it a "Collectors Piece" or just a lump of polished metal on a stick ?

spent my money on wine, women and song and wasted the rest.
Going back to sea soon, fuel is about 625 USD a tonne and we burn about 90 tonnes a day, if we use 33,000 hp that's about 56,000 USD a day just for fuel.

I notice the scotty cameron purchase fell through. I don't think it really was a collectors putter (such as played by Tiger etc) ..or even a historical putter.
Anything is only worth what someone will pay for it....and the buyer pulled out of the £6000 dollar sale and it has been relisted. Why anyone would spend that amount of money on a putter on ebay, missing its packaging, with damage and no expensive material (it looks about the same as a standard scotty cameron which retails about 200 pounds except for fancy head cover)...but then some people think nothing of putting down similar sums on a pointless handbag. Usually those people don't buy from ebay would be my guess though.
