Some people are just plain rude!

Just of of interest; how easy is it to replace a wing? It it worth paying someone to replace it or is it an easy DIY replacement?

I'm a practical sort of person and not afraid of getting my hands dirty, I have a vast tool kit in my garage too! :D

I've fitted my aero kit, cut and shut my headlights & fitted sport seats so I'm sure I could replace a wing? Yes?

This Bimmerforums thread gives some pointers

Thanks Perry

shame to hear about this :(

on a side note, would a dash cam have helped? Im looking into getting 1 soon and although its obvs recording while in motion (or ignition on) i also saw it mention something about motion activation, I.e once the scooter/moped hit your car, activating it and then possibly recording the numberplate etc as the rode off? its not going to help you this time, but possibility if there was ever another incident? (or am i interpreting the motion activated feature all wrong?)

Such a shame. Sometimes I wonder if they do it on purpose?

Method in my yeller-madness eh Pezza?!
Now you know why. :D

I feel gutted for you Terryvision, I have no choice but to park on the road and I'd hate to find a ding on my p&j so I can totally understand your frustration :headbang:

I've just had a dad and a rather sheepish young lad knock my door......Very apologetic!

It's nice too see that there is some responsible parents left in the world, they have agreed to pay for the repairs!

result, shame he had to be pushed into it, but still :D

Wanted to rant and the lad but he was a little nervous, the scooter is obviously damaged so I guess the dad asked what he hit and eventually he admitted to sliding into my Z'd!

They only live the next road up from me so they are only walking distance away.... I have all their details now!

As good a result as could have been expected. Are they claiming on their insurance?

Not yet they are going to see what the cost's come out as... the only major cost I can foresee is a new wheel!

The less insurance involved the better, as your premium would go up as well (the usual rubbish about any claims or losses question if answered truthfully).

Again no need for apologies. Ars**oles who cannot drive are common place. My father was forced to park his car on the road for a week while he had the drive block paved. God bless him he insisted that I put my Zed in his garage. He had his wing mirror trashed TWICE within that period.

Damn it!!

The "mint" wing arrived today and it looks like someone has run over it (damaged in transit) I'm gutted...

Looks like I'm out for a little longer now :( :(

+1

Goes to show that no matter how much s**t there is, there are still people out there willing to do the right thing. Obviously rather it didn't happen at all but hope you get recompensed and sorted

A week! That's a very long drive or some very slow pavers.
