I have a few little niggles that I need to get to round to sorting - before they either become expensively worse or just annoy me too much. So comments welcome on diagnosis of these for me...
1 - By using the interior release or pushing down the button, the passenger door locks/unlocks without any issue at all; but with the central locking (by the remote keyfob or the internal button) the door will unlock but will not lock. Fortunately it's easy to reach across and lock the door before I get out - if I remember!
2 - Sometimes the driver's window loses it's sense of position and will not auto close. It goes up (not sure it gets to the top) but then goes all the way down again. Resetting the memory of the window works and it then auto closes normally, until a future time when it fails again. The passenger window works fine every time. Failure is more frequent following the use of Gaptech to open/close the roof, but also does occur when the roof hasn't been opened. The Gaptech was fitted by a previous owner, but I know the connections were soldered and he did not use scotchlocks.
3 - For some reason the car will not accept being coded by Carly, for comfort closing (I think that's what it's called - when the window opens all the way to help you get in if parked in tight spaces...) That's something I really miss. Also, it will not succesfully code to allow window operation when door is open.
4 - Finally, the range of fob operation varies dramatically. On any one day this could be around 25 yards without any problem, and then next time I've got to stand next to the car and literally point the key at the rear view mirror while repeatedly pressing the button.
There's clearly something going on with the driver's window, so anyone knowledeable care to offer suggestions?
Cheers
