some new mods...

Hi guys haven't had chance to post pics of my last couple of mods - so here they are...

CF roundels replaced on front and rear (waiting for the dremmel to charge to chop the backs off the sides :headbang: )

Z4M rear grille FINALLY fitted to tidy up the space at the back

OEM rear lights re-fitted (minus french fries) to replace black jobbies - fancied a change

New Drilled & Grooved disks all round with redstuff pads.

Don't remember the mirror covers that colour?

It's a black roof from what I recall - would be some trick of light to make that contrast.
 
thanks guys, yeah the car is sterling grey and the hardtop, A-pillars and wing mirors have been done in Saphire black.
 
Looking good! How have you done the rear exhaust? And not have to have the facelift rear lights with the M rear bumper?
 
cheers chris, the exhaust is a full stainless system & was done by tapping a pipe off the left hand box, as a few members have done. u can see this in an older pic here...

the M bumper was mated to the pre-facelift lights by my bodyshop... they did a good job in fairness!!!

Right weird one, but when cold and steam coming from both, is the steam even? Sounds so so gay i know, but i am crazy :crazydude:

But looks spot on!
 
not weird mate, i was was worried bout the same thing! as i'm sure were the other members who have done it...

i cant speak for everyone, but mine is spot on... equal amount of steam in cold idle & under revving :thumbsup:
 
And who did the system for you? area? price? :thumbsup:

FFS another thing that i wont wait for :rofl:
 
It was done by Longlife Exhausts in Swansea, South Wales. i had a huge discount, but i would estimate around £650-700.

i'm sure someone else can add what they paid.....

yours is not a "M" then?
 
Nope :D Although its taken me down the M styling route, as its the best looking kit out there! But i need the exhaust sorting, and the rear bumper. Not so keen on the facelift rear lights, just because i dont want it solely to look like an M. So may do something with my bumper, and see how it goes.

I know the wheels are M ones, but thats a long story :rofl:
 
Funny, I was just looking at an old thread of yours just the other day and wondered if you still had the car as I have very similar things planned for my Zed in the new year, and in Sterling aswell Doh!

Your photo's have just about convinced me to put the M front on also, I was trying to avoid it as I did not want to build an M replica but could not decide just what to do, I really like the Gurt Racing M ducts that fit to a facelift bumper but they are just stupid money.

The great thing is that somehow your Zed still manages to retain its identity as a non M, I only hope I can achieve a similar end result.

RichardG - go for it mate, its suprising how reasonably u can pick up the m bumpers on flea bay :o

Trust me I've been looking, got the rear sorted it's the front I'm struggling with, there's a blue one on there at the moment that I've sort of negotiated a price over but looking at it again there seems to be some damage to the area around the towing eye (could just be the angle of the photo) and the fact it's on a concrete floor propped against the garage getting more damaged (not a real biggy considering it needs spraying anyway but it could just mean more work to get into a state where it can be sprayed), add the cost of the respray and getting the missing brake duct parts and you can get a new one from M style with all the parts for not a lot more money and a lot less hassle.

Decisions, decisions.
 
yeah the ducts and grille are expensive for what they are!!! no biggie on the damage though... it'll be no problem for the body shop - both my front and rear bumper were cosmetically damaged - they look fine!!!

noice wheels by the way - they really suit your car!!
