Ha ha, what a nugget.
Not a good day for the Z4 "publicity dept" - just watched an old "Auto Trader" on Quest. Some young bloke was looking for a roadster that was fun to drive and, I quote, "to pull the birds" (what a to$$er). The lad lad only just sat in the E85 & made noises about liking it, when Mike Brewer started harping on about the roof failures & the spring failures, which put the lad off big style & didn't even test drive it. He then sat in an S2k and actually went for a test drive. Then Brewer did his thing and started going on about it might need a 1500 engine rebuild, roof failures again. Strangely these (more expensive) failures didn't put the lad off and he paid £18k for the S2k -- the E85 was up for £17k. Each to his own I guess, but I felt the zed came out of that looking very poor. The other choice was a yellow boxster, but the lad wasn't much keen.
