Some lowlife **** just knocked my wing mirror off

There are plenty of mindless Aholes about. Had one push the wing mirror on my daily against the door just yesterday. They just carried on and no time to grab their plate. Happily it just pushed back, may be scratched I didn't look. The main reason I drive an £ 800 quid car to the office every day.

Get it sorted, forget the Ahole ever existed and move on. :)

Cheers guys, I've temporarily re-attached it via some bonding agent and duct tape which seems to be holding fine. Drove 4 miles this morn and it didn't move.

Have sent all the chaps breaking Z4's an email so hopefully i'll get some responses today.

Found a replacement for a decent ish price (£90) after a few weeks searching. Swapped the cover over and fitted at the weekend then gave the car a good polish. Next job is front wishbones. :)

I wonder if there is any glue strong enough for a temporary repair that will hold!?

Nice one! Glad to hear its all sorted now :)
Zed looks good too, sitting there soaking up the sun!

Daft question but do your wing mirrors fold in? Were they folded in when damaged. . .? Dread such things happening to my Zed and always return a bit apprehensive . . . had hoped folding them up and in might avoid attention?

Glad you got sorted and it's behind you

Gutted and fustsrated for you, mindless teenagers most likely, easter half term maybe started in the area, you generalky get heightened mindless activity around school holiday times :(
Edit, saw it was an old post!

Ducktape is always a good temporary fix.

Btw, does anyone have car cam setup that activates on proximity motion detection?

Looks like the mirror wasn't folded. At least the N/S one... We've got manual folding mirrors on the mini, don't bother with folding the N/S mirror... Just the O/S! May start folding both.

Luckily the Zed is powerfold, always err on the side of caution and fold mine, even if it's for 5mins.

I really get p1ssed off when I hear and see things like this happening. Why haven't people got respect anymore.

I feel your pain :x

Gorilla glue

Don't use the polyurethane gorilla glue. It foams up and gets all over the place.
Tried it on my van mirror, it worked but looked like an alien had been slobbering all over it.
Can't vouch for the Gorilla super glue, never used it.

I always press the little button when parking the Z, fold the bad boys out of the way

Sell me your button Fred!

NO David, get your own :poke:

Hehe, I'm pretty made up that they fold manually Fred. I'd tentatively tried to fold them but stopped short thinking that
they weren't meant to fold and I'd break 'em.
Short version- Visiting my folks who've moved to Cornwall, the edge of Bodmin moor. The parking spaces are on the moor. Came out one morning to find a sheep using my wing mirror to scratch her itchy head  Either that or she thought the Z was a big black sheep friend.
My heart sank when I see my wing mirror at a 45degree angle facing up. The sheep wandered off having seen me freaking out and I gently twisted the mirror back expecting it to fall off but instead it clicked back into place. That was the day I found out my mirrors folded in. :)
