Some Italian Alloy Colour...

Apologies for the pointlessness of this post. Ages ago I was talking about wheel refurbs in some post that I can't find now, and someone made reference to some new Italian based colour they're doing rims in these days... it was a weird Italian name for a colour. Just on the off chance anyone knows what that might be...?
Reason I'm asking is that I thought my M was in for detailing and alloy refurb on the 30th, but it's actually tomorrow :o I had to decide what to do with the stock 224's, refurb them or put the £250 towards a new set. So I think I'm gonna refurb the 224's for now as they resale for quite a pretty penny, and consider new rims at a later date, but this colour I need to find. Not sure whether to go stock, hyper silver, shadow chrome, this Italian colour...
Reason I'm posting this in M is I think I had the original conversation about the colour in M, so I might catch whoever mentioned it better in here... :|
 
That's the one! Thanks a bunch. Have you seen that colour in person? Does it differ all that much from stock or hyper silver? I remember Googling it and it came back with loads of different shades of silver.
 
I haven't seen it 'in the metal' but there's no substitute for seeing colours IRL

The trouble with googling and looking at images on a screen is that colours will change depending on lighting when the photo was taken. It will also be affected by the monitor you're looking at it on - you can look at the same photo on a number of monitors and it can look different on each one.
 
Yea true, I'm getting the impression that this colour is intended for bodywork though... I suspect a wheel refurb guy in a workshop in Newcastle isn't going to have the means to match a Ferrari body colour!

Does it matter - you can have wheels painted any colour you like. If you want a tougher top coat you can have powder coat lacquer applied
 
The colour is a Ferrari bodywork colour, but it shouldn't matter a jot; the alloy place you're going to will be able to mix a suitable wheel paint to the colour you choose!
