Some bum stole my tire stem caps!

So some idiot stole my tire stem caps for no good reason. There was nothing special about them at all. Just plain old, standard, metal screw-on caps. How irritating.

Anyways, I was looking for a new set and was wondering if anyone has tried these "anti-theft" stem caps? They have an additional allen-key screw on the side to lock them in place. Here's an example on ebay:

Are they worth it or do will they just cause me more inconvenience in the long run than just replacing a regular set of screw-ons every time some a** decides to take them?
 
I bought them years ago.
They don't work!
After screwing with them and losing the key I realized I was able to just unscrew them without the key!!

Buy the cheapest ones you can find the kids seal them because they think they are BMW special.

Must have been some bum on welfare looking to make a quick 50c. :rofl: Put plastic ones on - Get BMW Z logo caps for cruises and weekends - failing that, wire the caps to a high output electrical device :thumbsup:
 
Might be worth it to have a look at the surveillance tape. Also check your local pawn shops. :lol:

Thanks for the info 2 zero, I guess I'll just get regular screw-on replacements.

Caddyshk, I know I should probably just get those rubber ones, but I gotta put her back the way she was. You know how it is. :oops: I just ordered a couple of new sets for $6 US for 6.
 
Yeo, some kid stole them for their bicycle, and figured to have an extra set for when they get stolen off the bike by another kid 8)
 
Tire stem caps aren't stolen frequently enough to worry about getting locks or plastic ones IMO.

I've had 24k gold stem caps for years.
