Cannot see the point of a 4X4 unless you always need to go off road

errrr no worries , I do live in the countryside so variable conditions and the weather gets pretty bad , with two dogs and a growing family it just like an estate but with a higher ride height which is quite nice especially as Mrs V like being a bit higher up with the very high country lanes hedges its a much additional saftey as anything.......... remember the same logic could be applyed to could be said about sports cars in general Z4’s, 911's, slk, f430 etc...

As I mean there all a waste of money there terrible for the environment and also they use more fuel so are a waste of money unless your a racing car driver as your job why have a car that can do more than 70 mph I mean you cannot even car share? :wink: same reasons different angle..

Damn too late - wife looked at the Evoque but dealer also had a Freelander 2 Sport LE in the showroom. We test drove both and the freelander one hands down despite residuals etc. the Evoque was far too car like and clostrophobic. Depends what you are after I guess. Only 500 made in the UK so will be a rare model. We also preferred the styling:
