:x Im absolutely fuming! Got back to my car after leaving it in a Car Park in Holborn tonight and ALL FOUR dustcaps were gone!!!!!

What is wrong with people today??? :(

I feel your annoyance. I've had it done no less than five times at the gym now.
One day I hope to catch them at it.... :x

However, I did buy a set of these the other week, and so far, I've still got them:

Were they nice shiny metal ones ? Been through too many to count on other cars, I have given up now :x

Same on mine.. no probs and still there :)

I had those a few years ago - just make sure you take them off regularly, especially during the winter. If you leave them on for a long time they can 'fuse' together and get stuck. Should be fine if you check the pressures every week.

I leave the crappy plastic ones on. I don't want to entice someone to even come near to my car...

Ebay - big bag o' dustcaps.
Useful isn't quite a strong enough word for them.

this is true... but then I take em off (normally) once a month.

that said, they were sat on Winston for 8 months without being touched, and they survived.. so I guess it's luck of the draw..

Maybe the design has changed... With the amount of scally's round here it's a few years since I used them

same things happened to me several times - bloody annoying - the trouble is if you put anti theft ones on the little horrors are just as likely to try to prise or cut them off and you'll end up with a whole lot of hassle/expense. You can buy cheap colour coded ones for less than 3 quid from Amazon - just keep a few spare - or take em' off if you're going to leave your car for a few hours

Mine were nicked.... by the guys changing the tyres.

When I asked I was confronted with many 'I dunno mate' and 'perhaps they weren't on there' comments.... f*ckers.

Probably just kids who wanted new ones for their bikes. TBH they cost about 50p, so in the grand scheme of things, just be glad it's now scratched/keyed!

Horrible things that either cause people to nick them, damage the wheels or stems if they are locked on, or if they survive then 'weld' on with galvanic corrosion.

Stick to cheap black plastic caps that do the job.

Thanks guys! Just ordered some off Ebay. I would stick to cheap plastic ones but the metal ones just look so much better you know? :)

Never looked at a car of mine and thought to myself that I must make a feature of the valve caps.

That said each to their own

hang on...dust caps?? really???

shiny metal ones??? really??

listen to yourselves!!

principle of stealing somebody else's property aside......get some plastic ones from halfrauds and stop being anal about dustcaps

we all like our cars...but you sound like you're from the honda forum for kids!!!
