*Solved* E86 3.0Si Not Starting First Time

Just thought I'd post incase anyone has the same problem. My Coupe had developed a fault where it wouldn't always start first time - symptoms were that the dashboard lights didn't come on apart from the red airbag light, and the starter motor would crank it over but it didn't fire. Turning it off and on again usually made it start. It had also cut out a few times on me.

Just fitted a new (old) ignition switch from Quarry Motors on eBay (£8.50), which seems to have cured it. Job took about 20 mins at absolute most following this guide: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=716472. Just needed a ratchet to disconnect the battery and a couple of screwdrivers.

Quite chuffed with myself now. Does anyone know which kind of screwlock I should apply to the grub screws holding the switch in place though? The original stuff was like red wax on the heads and I don't want it to work its way loose.
