I’m looking to swap my LSD so was going to refresh bushes mine is a 2004 with SE M sport set up.. I was being swayed towards Powerflex polyurethane bushes, just wondering how do these differ ? I’ve not heard of brand too thx Jase

These are solid aluminium and hard-mount the subframe to the car, just like the newer F and G series M cars and the M3 GTS. This gives the maximum performance possible as there is zero movement of the subframe, and the subframe braces the chassis, giving more rigidity to the chassis. It also allows the suspension to control the car rather than rubber or poly mounts, which have little movement.

So long as stock diff bushes are used, there is negligible increase in NVH, and this mod is generally recommended over using poly for subframe and diff mounts.

Great info here on different bushes on a E46 which uses our same rear subframe: https://slrspeed.com/blogs/news/the...SEfYaSQDKzCEZ6TBrH7H5hbBIgugsc8pRx3eLX5S9f40u

Thanks for taking the time to explain all that, really appreciate the detail. I think for my use it might be a bit more hardcore than I need, but it’s great info to have. I’m sure they will be snapped up soon

Thanks

Not fully sure what you mean by hardcore though, there is no increase in NVH or bumps over stock/poly but the car handles better. Kinda a win win
