SOLD Hi Folks. Sadly have my Z4 up for sale. Not owned for long and purchased from a fellow Forum member. Forced sale due to personal circumstances, car absolutely A1.

I also have a matching hardtop/BMW stand for sale by seperate negotiation.

First up it's a great looking example with decent pics. But buyers will be wondering, what needs spending on it and when? e.g. How many miles or how long to the next service, which service is due, will it need rubber, how long are the MOT and tax. If this was all needed in the near future it could easy add up to well over £1k depending on the service and rubber applied. Often buyers won't call to ask but move on to the next ad'.

Many buyers want unmodified car, particularly older models at top prices where originality can become an issue.

A quick look at other PH ad's unfortunately show you are up against 2005 cars at that price or 2003 models with less miles.

Good luck though, lets hope it finds another good home. :thumbsup:

Hi Ewazix, fair points, I put the ad up pretty quickly and just been very busy. But further detail is:

FSH with 6 stamps in book, mix of dealers and specialist, Last serviced 700 miles ago - Inspection 1. Service Indicator stating next sevice due in 15k miles!

Excellent tyres all round with exception of one rear which will need replacing soon, will either have this done or discount from price.

Just newly taxed for 6 months. MOTd until Dec 2011.

Other than the tyre mentioned the car requires notjing spent on her for next owner.

I will do a VERY good deal for any buyer who also wants the hardtop and stand with the car.

Finally, I hear what you are saying ref. modifications. All just personal choice. I really love the wheels/springs, but I've always wanted a small, subtle personal touch to all my cars and bikes. Each to their own and I appreciate the comments and feedback. As mentioned there is some negotiation in my price to a forum member who will provide a good home :wink:

U'r welcome, I've bought and sold a little over time and firmly believe that any car will sell if it's advertised accurately, is properly presented and priced according to condition and the market. The last two I sold went on the first day for full price.

I always use Autotrader or PH to research examples within a reasonable travelling distance for that type of car and buyer (100 miles for a Z4?) then pitch my price a little under a similar example. This means you are top in the search results, will be the first one called and can stick at, or very close to your price rightly claiming that you are already the cheapest available. Pitching a high price 'with room to haggle' is Ok in a seller's market with a rare car or unique example, but unfortunately neither is probably the case at the moment with our Zed's.
 
Aye, that's correct, I bought the car from Easty. Was bought as a long tem proposition/second car and intended going touring on the continenet. Sadly plans have changed :(
 
Still for sale. New rear tyre fitted today (£145!!). Open to sensible offers and willing to do a good deal to Forum members if the hardtop is required at the same time.

Hi Folks, had a lot of interest but still for sale at reduced price and will listen to sensible offers. Must sell due to pending loss of garage and requirement for four seats!
