SOLD Z4M Coupe Silver Grey 2006 WARRANTY 63k

Had a completely sleepless night last night, feel like a zomby today really wierd especially with no car to replace it with.

The guy is called Russell and owns a garage called knights in Oxfordshire. Specialised is Z M cars, owns a Z3M coupe and previously owned a Z4M sold over 30 Z4Ms in his career which I thought was very impressive!

Anyway great guy really nice bloke not much older than me. Sold it at 3pm, he came up from Oxfordshire got here for 9pm and drove all the way back down don't get home until 2am!

To put a more positive spin on selling the M my mum is taking over my PCP contract on the Mini Cooper S and picking a fully loaded new one up this after so will post some pics :)

Congrats Tom, so when are you off Travelling.

I also think your sale shows what's happening with the Z4MC market. Pretty sure Woody struggled to sell his at circa. 63k miles, ended up getting just over £13k if I recall correctly, early last year.

Both cars were well documented on the forum and both had great adverts (obviously your photos take the icing, but not sure they'd secure an extra £1k+).

Great examples will always secure top dollar. I'm sure being on the forum and having documented the car's flawless maintenance record has helped you secure a sale, which only supports what a great place the forum is. sellers can confidently justify their car's history and buyers are fully assured that they are getting a genuine deal. Complete transparency.

Anyway, good luck with everything, hopefully you'll stick around. I'll need somebody to debate warranties and garage queens with going forward

Woodys car had 70k on it and got 13750 I think... Also fake CSLs I think 224s are more desirable than reps.

But both cars similar otherwise. Mine had a few extras like the spoiler, strut brace, lowered springs and just replaced the front pads and discs so is well sorted.

Depends who's interested I suppose. But I definitely think being a well documented forum car helped the sale.

All in all really happy! I leave on the 2nd Nov. I have a thread called traveling if your interested in where I'm going :)

Cheers for the comments :)

Great result Tom & i thought the car looked better on the 224's than the CSL's  Guess you either like them or you don't & for me they don't do anything

Oh my days! just saw this...where was I! :headbang:

Tom, amazing car, amazing photos, your car is one of the reasons I bought my M earlier this year! Goodluck with everything :P Hope to see you back sometime!

Sorry, can't find it :D

When are you bringing my M home again for the pads change? 8)

Ye I did sell it I a dealer. Well I got a good price guy has to make a profit I think he's being a little ambitious with the price, but someone will get a cracking motor!

But hey hoe!

DONT MAKE ME MORE EMOTIONAL!!!! lol

My car doesn't need it's pads changed yet, I'm living with the occasional squeak for now. No point changing for the sake of it, despite having put a few miles on since you relinquished it

Be delighted to pop round for a donut sometime though :D

It's going for a quick lighting diagnostic in the morning, which should be fun as I 'fessed up to the Intravee issue and I think they'll be a bit disappointed in my general direction...

[sorry for the thread hijack Tom, think of it as a distraction...]

The lights have behaved 100% since I disabled the sidelights as DRLs. They don't look quite aligned properly but the cycling and general height are all correct. Hopefully Richard has added it to his list of things to look at for future firmware versions. They've insisted they take the diagnostic download to send off to Autotech anyway, with and without the feature enabled, just to be sure / check there's nothing else amiss. Happy with that. Then I anticipate an interesting conversation about cost, with my only defence being 'I honestly didn't put two and two together', and 'I could just have neglected to mention it and pretended the car fixed itself through some form of automotive sorcery...'

PVR - it's being done by my indie, not Vines, else I would happily pop round
