I'm selling a Sapphire black hardtop. I bought this during the summer off of a guy and didn't really give it a close look over. (Long story).
I've been quoted £350 to do the repairs and to spray it. I don't have the money. I paid £750. Gutted!
It seems I can only upload 4 pics at a time so I replied to my post to upload pics of the faults
I've outlined all the faults with pics.

You can simply add another post to this thread and that will give you another 4 pics. Punters will want to see pics of the faults and descriptions in the ad. This could go quickly depending upon the damage.

Here's the pics of the damage. I've used a touch up paint to cover the white fibreglass just because it looked better while the roof was on. To be honest I was out in a pretty heavy downpour and it didn't leak. However, with jet wash testing it did.
This shows damage to the plastic trim around the window. This does not affect it in any way except for aesthetics. Probably damaged during storage. The rubber window gasket/seal is in good condition and doesn't leak. This plastic trim easily pulls out by hand to be replaced.

This pic shows a small chip about 20mm off the drivers side corner., also the roof doesn't come into contact with the windscreen seal. The roof leaks at this point. Is this a common problem of the roof not fitting or has it been repaired before and made too short?

This pics shows the front of the hardtop not sitting flush with the windscreen seal. Not sure why. Bodyshop told me that they'd cut back the firbre glass and redo it to fit perfectly flush. The roof leaks at the corner not across the raised area, though the water is probably tracking down across this part of the roof.

This pic show some more damage to the passengers side plastic trim. This doesn't leak.

Interested in this depending on how hard the damage is to put right, as I need a white roof I'll have to have the whole roof resprayed anyway so it's just a case of speaking to my mate and seeing if he thinks it's possible or if I should just steer clear. The roof physically not fitting along the top is a big concern :/

Have you tried adjusting the height on the side fixing points to see if it makes the front corners lower/more flush with the front seals?

Intersting :? I had a look at the installation manual and the adjustment points will not adjust it to make any difference at the windscreen because the windscreen locking mechanism pulls and locks it into place. It seems that only a fibreglass repair will solve this problem.

On closer inspection just now, it appears that a repair to this area has possibly been done (badly). There's evidence of clear lacquer runs. That would explain why it's not sitting flush at this point.

It looks like it's been dropped on the drivers side front corner and it's warped the panel out of shape.

The damage to the plastic bits are probably from storage. Maybe it was held up with ropes which 'dug in' to the plastic trim bits.

All in, not a bad shout for £400 if you know a competent bodyshop.

Interesting thinking... I think the passengers side has been repaired. I could take it to the bodyshop to get a better idea of the cost. I sent pics originally.
