SOLD. Z4 coúpe sport.

Also now on auto trader. Still cheaper on the forum so hopefully someone here will snap it up. Had a firm offer of £4500 for a part ex on a lovely Mercedes CLS. Safe to say I laughed.

Laughed, I would have been furious! :x

I would have thought even WBAC would have done better than that!

Good luck anyway - the CLS is a real looker BTW!

He went on to explain that the maximum retail for it is 6k hence the 4.5k offer. I said mate mines the cheapest on eBay for the miles and I got more extras than the others at 9.9k. He also kept calling it a convertible even though I corrected him every time and kept explaining its a hard top  Always frustrating people not being into cars even if they work in the trade.

Very frustrating, but to be fair if he didn't understand the difference he wouldn't have been any good at selling it!

A bit like when I bought my 325ti from a trader - he took it as a part/ex on a Saturday and stuck it on A/T that morning. I put a deposit on it that afternoon! He told me it had an MOT - then we found out it expired on the Monday! He had to get a new one and the handbrake needed attention. When I called him for an update he told me the rear wiper didn't work (I knew that already from the test drive) and he couldn't afford to fix that but I could have my deposit back! I told him I would have it anyway (I think he had just realised he put it on too cheap as he admitted he had loads of calls)! :P

Lovely looking car, very surprised this hasn't gone already....what's the WBAC offer on it?

The lovely low qouters at WWAC say £8134
The lovely most of the time even lower quoters at WBAC say £8300.

I'd fully expect a garage to have it up over 10k.

When I read your first post and you said your girl has to go, I thought, "he's chopping in the OH."

Obviously not!

Good luck with the sale. A load of my mates have recently got married and the sale of my Z4 wouldn't even dent their wedding budgets! Plus then my OH and I couldn't get about......as easily.

Ouch on the Ebay 'helpful' suggestion. I'm sure you would sell it at that price....

No idea where they pulled that figure from. Could sell a crashed one for more than that.

Hello,

I'm currently looking for a Z4 coupe. Just before I begin this is just some reflection on your car which looks lovely by the way and as a buyer what I'm looking for. I wasn't going to post as it's your sale add but I thought the feedback may be useful.

I've been looking for the past month and I've test drove a couple. As a relative outsider to the fold my observations are that the price of the Z4 coupe is really high compared to the book price and as such I'm struggling to commit to buying one. They are a lovely car but prices are almost a third over the top guide price. They are quite a rare site on the roads by realistically I'm looking at a depreciating asset at way over the book price.

The worst examples I've seen are cars at 12-13k with 80k+ on them. On the flip side I've seen one at 7k with 113k on it which drove really well but the mileage was too high even for me (I generally buy my cars with 70k+ miles on them).

I would be very interested in your car at the current price if it was around 70,000 miles. But as it is I'd see it hitting 100k in just over a year and I just can't justify a car which the insurers would only pay out 6-7k on in the event of theft/accidents etc

Just my 2p. I wouldn't insult you with an offer as I can see you have a price you wish to attain for the car. Looks great by the way.

Thanks
Steven

As ive just sold mine and want another one im afraid i have to agree with guy above, the people asking decent money just arent getting it, i love these cars, but asking over 10k for one unless it has about 40k miles on isnt going to work (not talking about this thread)
the only ones that actually do seem to sell all actually change hands for 8.5 or below, a car dealer friend of mine wont even take them unless dirt cheap as he struggles to sell, not sure why as fantastic cars, but i just guess people arent willing to pay over 10 grand for a thirsty 10 year old 2 seater right now
