Hi, the MOT was carried out by Kwik Fit (they had a cheap MOT deal) and they failed it on made up claims. The windscreen was noted as an advisory on previous MOT's, but Kwik Fit failed it (appareantly the chip had moved?)
I inspected the rest of the car from top to bottom after the MOT and found nothing wrong with it - including suspension joints (I'm an automotive engineer)
I got it re-MOT'd somewhere else and they commented on how mechanically sound it is, and that Kwik Fit obviously failed it without evidence of fault.
Anyway, yes, new windscreen, no new suspension joints (doesn't need them)
