billyThe car does't have Xenons I'm afraid. My last car was an EVO VIII MR which had xenons and I can't say I noticed any major difference going from Xenons to normal tbh. I travelled from Glasgow to Birmingham to but the car myself. I enjoyed the journey there on the train and enjoyed getting to know the car on the dive back even more![/quote said:
Okay, the Xenon's were only an "ideal" really - so no huge loss.

Southampton is a little further away than Birmingham, but again - I'll be prepared to travel for the right car. I've put a reminder in my diary for the first weekend after the New Year when I am back from holidays. I will take a look then to see if the car is still on the market and contact directly then if it's still available.

Cheers,
Alex

Feel for you trying to sell the at the moment mate, it seems that the Market is rubbish.

Looks like a very nice coupe, and in reality very cheap considering how much car it is. Think back 4 years and anyone looking for car for this amount of money and no way would you expect to be able to buy a car like this. I mean £13500 isn't really that much in car terms and this is a serious car. Just shows how poor current Market is that this hasn't sold yet, and there are plenty of other amazingly good cars for sale on this forum for too little money (eg playa's old M).

Anyway good luck mate, someone somewhere will be in the Market and then it'll get snapped up. If I come across anyone I'll direct them here

Seriously considering part exchanging my car so if anyone is considering making an offer now would be a good time to do it :)

Wow £12,500 is what I paid for my 2.5i Roadster with 30k miles back when u bought it.

Sometimes I feel like kicking myself for not holding onto my cash, but you can never predict.

There's people out there buying BMW's brand new for £60k and selling for £30k a year or two later.

This is a lot of car for the money!!!

I'd just like to echo the above. This is good value for what was a £36,160 car when new .. if it was a slightly different spec I would have been interested for sure.. PS love the Ruby Black!

Yeah it's quite depressing but the market is what it is.

I really won't to go any lower than £12.5k on it as I think it's worth every penny plus probably 2 grand more if the market wasn't so depressed!

At least your realistic with your pricing and knowing that the market is deflated at present. Some dealers out there still haven't accepted it and are holding out with some inflated prices that they may have got for the cars six months ago. I think you have priced it spot on. Good luck with your sale.

When the advert was first posted it had three new tyres, which ones?

Has it gone through a set of rears since then?

I had some bad luck with pot holes this year, had to get three new tyres earlier in the year becase of some bastard pot holes.

A couple of weeks ago I had to get two new rears as one got a puncture and one had a bubble in it. Then just a few days later I got another puncture in one of the new rears so had to buy another one.

The state of our roads is a disgrace!

Deposit taken and car now provisionally sold pending final inspection on pick-up.

Hunt now on for a tidy, clean Golf GTi Edition 30 DSG 5 door with circa 40k miles or less and as many options as possible.

Let me know if you know of any going :)
