SOLD: Z4 BSM Hardtop + BMW storage bag + BMW stand

Under no circumstances attempt to transport it on its edge. You'll almost certainly damage it or break the glass.

It should have transport feet that lock onto the locating prongs but if you don't have them drop the prongs into polystyrene blocks or similar material for support.use blankets or old pillows/ cushions under the rear glass edge to prevent that knocking on the floor and don't let the front corners hit anything.

Better to secure it well like this and then drive normally.

thanks for the advice..... ill take plenty of blankets, cushions, bubble wrap, wood, more cushions, pillows, everything i can get hold of that soft and fluffy..... i will then attempt to, somehow secure it to the floor with rope ect ect..... and just drive reallly slow!! the drive home will be painful.......

well picked this up today and its pretty much immaculate!!! being SUPER picky the faults?? their is a tiny and i mean tiny chip in the bottom edge of the glass where a micro=scopic slither of glass as been removed, not even noticable to to the human eye, it can only be felt is you run your finger over the bottom edge of the glass, the paint is perfect, the glass is unmarked, the interior lining is unmarked, all tools and bits are present..... its immaculate.... for 700 quid with the stand, case minty fresh hardtop im very pleased.... jad, cheers matey!!!

i did however get a fucking ticket in london!!! bastards!! definatly glad i hired a van, no way in a million years would that have gone in the back of my RRs or my friends s max....... no way...... i would have damaged it trying.... in the end got another van for 49 quid... which swallowed this with ease!!!

all in all a bargain id say!!!

See, now you spoiled it. I'm pleased for both you and Beedub, but I don't see anyone on the thread doubting you, just making reasonable requests and observations. Nobody with more sense than money spends £799 on something unseen, or makes a long journey without something to go on. I'd have visited your cousin if I could have afforded the hard top, but I am only an hour away. Beedub knows you personally and that's different - I seem to remember that this sale was one of your first posts, so no-one on here knew you, and I object a little to this 'statement' of ownership, whatever that's supposed to mean in the real world.

I hope you stick around and give yourself the chance to get to know and take part in this community more fully

for all of you people who doubted me, you have been owned and my friend beedub got the best of it.

I'd agree. £700 for a mint top is as cheap as it gets, especially this time of year - thats more like a summer price. But well done on selling at last.

its absolutly perfect... REALLY pleased..... hoping to have it on the car this weekend!! i can see this thing is hardly used.... and 700 quid!!! bargain. i have to say the size of this thing is slightly off putting, its huge.... the first install on the car will be a nerve racking experience. thanks jad......

be careful if you buy the BMW hardtop hoist - there is a knack to using it - i have the few scratchs on my car to prove it

All this fuss.. then one day in Spring the sun comes out, & you've got a dirty great plastic thing strapped on, & you need someone else to help get it off.

I do think they look wicked & defo a lot more secure, & I'd like a nice shiny red one to complete it, but I doubt I'd ever put it on..

WIll be interesting to see how you get on with it :)

arhh well... im happy anyhow!!! just more parts to a car that i plan to keep.... cant be a bad thing.....this top will be hanging on the garage wall in the short term and eventually on a winch setup above the car... one of the main reasons i wanted the hardtop was because they are now unavailable and can only go up in value, especially when you pay 700 quid for one... it was an offer i couldnt refuse....
