SOLD: Stunning Imola Red Z4M Coupe

Well Stuart, most people have been saying it's too highly priced at £13.5k and the only offers I've had are for £13k. And it's one thing making an offer and another to actually arrive here and hand over the cash / wire the monies. What with that other Imola MC up for sale now too...I think it's too cheap too but what do you recommend? £38 a fortnight on temporary insurance is hurting a little and the longer I keep the less tax there is, tyres, miles go up etc etc. I don't know what to do!!

You're crackers - it's worth more money, anybody looking to buy will always tell you it's overpriced. For the sale of 13k I'd keep it and if money's tight get a bank loan.

I'd fill it with soil and grow flowers in it rather than let some clown have your drawers down. :D

If they pay 13k for your car they might as well have worn a mask.

Tbh woody, with the MPS you bought another thirsty car. I'd ditch that and keep the M and drive it over telling it for silly money. (Or there's a Mini Cooper for sale in Malmesbury for £4500 that I had a sniff around yesterday as a car for daughter)

I don't know your finances (and not expecting you to tell us either) but if you sell at rock bottom it's going to make you unhappy. Maybe do the man maths on the economy of the M vs the MPS and if the cost of keeping the M is less than or close to the monthly cost of temp insurance etc then think carefully about your happiness vs selling the car.

That said, don't take my dumb advice if you need the money. There will always be another on the market soon.

What you also have to take into account is what price you paid for it off Paza...

Your not losing a lot of money if you take £13k for it...

If you would have said yes to £13k over a month ago when offered i dare say it would have been on my drive now....I dont blame you for holding out and trying to get more money, and im sure you felt as though i was trying to pull your pants down for the car at the time.....

But......With the combination of high miles, high owner numbers and its existing faults make the car worth what its worth,if you want to sell it.

If you wanna keep it then its worth £20k...

Now sold...

Gone to a really nice chap, TikoV. He's already on the forum and I've told him he has to be an active member on here uploading lots of pics! He already has eibachs, USB connectivity and a good detail planned for my (sorry his) MC. So no doubt he'll be here with the modding bug, hopefully :D

Just watched it being driven away though, top 10 saddest moments of my life. I get attached to every car I own but this one, even though I didn't own it for years, was very special to me. I can easily say it was my best car, a real head turner and epic thing to drive. But, I have only happy memories of it; taking it on my honeymoon, drive to North Wales, countless acknowledgements from other petrol heads, the look, the sound of it...etc...

I've had my fun though, time to be sensible. Realistically it had to go at some point :( I hope to be in a Z4 again though one day, after owning the 3.0i Roadster and ///M Coupe I've become quite attached to the little things!

Massive thanks to all you guys and girls on here, for the hours of entertainment, banter, stories, advice, pictures, general randomness! I hope to stay on here, maybe not as active as I was but will definitely pop in a few times a week!

Anyways, I hope you're all enjoying your BH weekend with your Zeds... I've got housework and a drive in a Mazda 6 to look forward too...

I can only say make the most of it whilst you can!!

:)

Don't really know what to say :-( other than at least congrats on the sale, and maybe have another in a few years time!

Glad to hear it worked out Woody. Now I have a friend in the 'Top 10 worst life moments' club ;)

Sorry to hear she's gone Woody, but glad it all went to plan with no dramas

You'll be back :D

Thanks so much guys :)

Inkey$, I thought you were being silly when you sold yours, being down etc; but I feel your pain, this is not a good club to be in!

Give it 2/3 years and hopefully I'll have saved enough to buy a 3.0i Roadster as a weekend car, if I'm allowed back in the soft top club again of course...

Sorry its gone Woody :( but at least you can move forward now & you better stick around here & torment us lot! i dont want you spending all your time on Jap sites now with your mazda!!

I do know how you feel as nothing has come close to replacing my TVR & i would still have one of some sort if they worked when you asked them too :headbang:

Hope the new owner looks after it & enjoys it as much as you did. :)

Well done on the sale Woody.

I hope you stick around and as others have said, I'm sure you'll be back in a Zed soon enough. If you do the East Midlands relocation then you can come on a run with us and ride shotgun because there are a fair few of us in this neck of the woods now on here.

Lee, Carol, Steve, OG, Jimmy...

Thanks for your kind words :)

I registered over on MPSOC but have only posted twice, it's not the same!

I'll defo stick around on here! Lee what TVR did you have, pics?! You're right, the time had come and the sale to Tiko although sad feels like the sensible thing to do at this point of my life.

Steven, I will be taking you up on that offer :driving: !

It's good to know OG if I do end up in EMids I'll be able to spot Zeds more often as I never got waves down here!

Jimmy, have you voted for Imola Red on the favourite colour poll (as detailed in my first post)?! Still my favourite, always will be :D

Thanks Rob and srhutch :)

Now the lovely weather is here I'm quite partial to a vert again, I can see why you love them so much :D
